BCWipe Total WipeOut Wiping Utility is an OS-independent full drive erasure tool running off a bootable USB / CD created with the help of BCWipe Total WipeOut Configuration Wizard. 

If you missed any of the previous steps, please revisit the Quick Start guide. This and the following article will review Step 8 of the Quick Start guide in more detail.

Once booted with the BCWipe Total WipeOut USB / CD, you will see the following user interface:

The key information blocks and controls include: 


    • Header with program name and version and system clock
    • The list of disks detected in the system
    • Details for selected drive / log area
    • List of control keys


Depending on selected workmode, the amount of control you have over the process might differ. 

In manual workmode: 

        • use and keys to switch between drives, S key to select highlighted drive for wiping, W key to initiate wiping for all selected drives.
        • use Tab key to switch between the disk information and log views.


In automatic workmode

        • use Tab key to switch between the disk information and log views.
