Depending on selected workmode, BCWipe Total WipeOut can start the wiping process automatically, with no user interaction or wait for further commands from the user.

In this article, we will review the Manual workmode. For the in-detail review of the Automatic workmode, read this article: Running BCWipe Total WipeOut automatically.

When in Manual mode, a user selects drives to be wiped and initiates the wiping process manually. By default, the drives will be wiped with the Jetico-Recommended settings or the settings chosen at BCWipe Total WipeOut Configuration Wizard: Wiping Schemes and Option.

The Disk Menu for a highlighted drive is available with the 'D' key.

The Disk Menu contains all hardware-level commands supported by the drive. Thus the user can selectively perform some critical actions like resetting the Host Protected Area (HPA) or running Trim for SSD disks or WRITE_ZEROS for NVME.
