Jetico Central Manager is a web-based console for managing Jetico data protection solutions across workstations in an organization. The console gives administrators one place to organize managed computers, apply policies, start operations, monitor status, review results and maintain records of security-related activity.

Jetico Central Manager is modular. Organizations can deploy the capabilities they need today and expand over time. For example, an organization may start with centralized secure erasure using BCWipe, then later add Search for data discovery, BestCrypt Volume Encryption for full disk encryption or BestCrypt Data Shelter for granular data access control.

The console helps organizations manage endpoint data through three stages: discover sensitive data, protect data that must remain available and securely erase data that is no longer needed. The lifecycle approach is useful when sensitive files are scattered across workstations, encryption status must be verified centrally and data removal must be proven rather than assumed. The approach also helps reduce risks created by over-permitted users, applications, scripts, automation tools and AI Agents.

Discover Sensitive Data
Before data can be protected, reduced or erased, administrators need to know where the data exists.

The Search feature enables data discovery across managed workstations, helping administrators quickly locate sensitive data using file properties or content-based criteria such as keywords, templates and AI categories.

This feature supports identification of personal, financial and confidential information stored on endpoints. By providing clear visibility into data locations, Search helps organizations streamline audits, support data minimization, respond to incidents and prepare data for secure erasure.

For details, see What Search can Do and What Information Can Be Found.

Protect Devices and Sensitive Files
Jetico Central Manager centrally manages BestCrypt Volume Encryption for full disk and volume protection. Administrators can deploy encryption, monitor encryption status, manage recovery information and verify whether workstations are protected. BestCrypt Volume Encryption helps reduce the risk of data exposure if a device is lost, stolen, reused or accessed without authorization.

Jetico Central Manager can also manage BestCrypt Data Shelter for granular file-level protection. Data Shelter controls access to sensitive folders by defining which users and applications are allowed to access protected data. Granular data access control helps when standard permissions are too broad or when trusted tools should not automatically reach every file a user can access. The control model can reduce exposure from over-permitted applications, scripts, remote administration tools and AI Agents.

Securely Erase Data That Is No Longer Needed
Deleting a file is not the same as securely erasing a file. Standard deletion usually removes the file reference, while the underlying data may remain recoverable from the disk, free space, temporary locations or other remnants.

Jetico Central Manager provides centralized secure erasure with BCWipe, enabling administrators to erase files and folders, wipe free space and remove residual data across multiple endpoints. Centralized management helps enforce data minimization, support retention policies, respond to incidents and prepare devices for reassignment or disposal. Built-in logs, reports and audit trails provide verifiable evidence of erasure activities, improving accountability and simplifying internal reviews and compliance processes.

Support Compliance and Governance Processes
Jetico Central Manager does not make an organization compliant by itself. Compliance depends on policies, legal obligations, operational processes and correct use of technical controls.

The console can help administrators locate regulated data, verify encryption status, control access to sensitive files, securely erase data that no longer needs to be retained and generate logs and reports for audits, investigations and internal reviews.
