BCWipe Total WipeOut from Jetico Can Remotely Erase Many Hard Drives in a Click
HELSINKI, Finland – September 17, 2015 – Jetico's new major release of their hard drive wiping software, BCWipe Total WipeOut, includes an exciting new feature: central management for both wiping and reporting remotely over the network. By using nothing more than a web browser, users can now run any of the software's DoD wiping schemes to erase hard drive data and SSDs on multiple computers simultaneously and retrieve wiping reports from a central server.
With BCWipe Total WipeOut's new remote wiping and logging operations, flexible licensing options and user interface, Jetico CEO Michael Waksman believes the company has "once again proven our commitment to meeting the ever-evolving needs of our existing users."
Current users of Jetico's hard drive wiping software will be happy to hear that the latest release will significantly reduce their downtime by enabling them to not only wipe multiple targets at once, but to do so remotely. In his statement on the new release, Waksman announced: "Gone are the days of manually inserting and re-inserting bootable disks or USB drives for each individual wiping target. Admins can now feel empowered to control and run wiping operations from the comfort of their own desks—or beach chairs," he added, "if necessary."
The 'centralized' focus of the new release naturally led Jetico to simultaneously roll out a new licensing option and user interface. Customers now have the option of buying licenses for a defined number of wipes or keeping with a traditional annual licensing option; and the slick, browser-based interface is designed to ensure ease of use and user-friendly interaction. In addition, admins can now run and retrieve wiping reports from a central server and download them in multiple formats including text, PDF, XML and CSV.
"For over 20 years, we've been committed to delivering the best wiping experience on the market, and we have no intentions of stopping anytime soon," Waksman says.
And coupled with the software's already-existing DoD- and military-vetted wiping scheme options, it stands to reason that these significant improvements will also help BCWipe Total WipeOut gain a foothold in sectors such as large corporations and e-waste centers, where there is an ongoing and intensive demand for trustworthy, high-functioning, all-in-one wiping software.
