Download and install BCWipe to unlock even more potential in BCWipe Privacy Guard.

BCWipe offers a widget to conveniently manage Privacy Guard's settings:

On top of that, some settings in BCWipe Privacy Guard's Advanced Settings panel will have a Clear / wipe button next to them.

For example,

Windows permissions

Activity history

Store my activity on this device     Delete/wipe activity history

Cortana and Search

Search history on this device    Delete/wipe search box history

Microsoft Edge (Chromium)

Password

Password manager   Delete/wipe saved passwords

Microsoft Edge (Chromium)

Profile

Save and fill payment info   Delete/wipe saved credit card information

Windows File Explorer

Show frequently used folder in Quick Access   Delete/wipe Explorer Recent Items

Use inline AutoComplete   Delete/wipe Explorer Search History

For these settings, in addition to disabling data collection, BCWipe Privacy Guard can also delete the locally stored data that's been collected so far.

This can either be done with the use of standard Windows delete functions (less secure, data can be recovered) or with the help of BCWipe (recommended, data is erased beyond forensic recovery).

🗲HINT: If BCWipe is already installed, clicking a Delete/wipe button will open BCWipe Task Manager with the corresponding task created automatically. You can review the progress of the task in real time:

If BCWipe is not installed, the following warning appears:

To proceed with the standard deletion (less secure), click Continue. BCWipe Privacy Guard will then delete the selected items.

To erase the files beyond recovery, click Try now. This will automatically download a free 21-day trial version of BCWipe to your PC. If you have questions regarding the installation process, refer to this manual.
