General Features

Store & Access Encrypted Files via Virtual Drives
Virtual encrypted disk is emulated as it was any other removable device but all the files within the container are stored encrypted.

Create & Manage Multiple Containers
BestCrypt Control Panel provides intuitive user interface to create and manage containers. Containers number is not limited. It is recommended to work on several small size containers rather than one big container. Several containers can be mounted to work simultaneously on.

Move & Store Encrypted Containers across Windows, Linux, Mac & Android

Upload & Share Containers in Cloud
Go beyond password protection, use BestCrypt in the cloud to upload and share your files with real security. Encrypted containers can be accessed on Windows, Linux, Mac and Android operating systems. Step-by-step instructions

Manage Passwords
Add, remove or change passwords at any time.

Security Enhancement

Enhanced Hidden Containers
BestCrypt for Linux supports one and more hidden parts inside an original container. Previously created hidden parts protection is provided.

Operations with Container Headers
Header encryption feature is intended to hide container's format and make it look like absolutely random data. Backup header allows creating a backup of all container service information including container header and encoded key data into separate file. Without knowing container passwords, encryption keys or other secret information cannot be read from backup file.

Support for Strong Encryption Algorithms
BestCrypt allows encrypting data with many strong encryption algorithms (AES (Rijndael), Blowfish, CAST, GOST 28147-89, Triple-Des and Twofish). Every algorithm is implemented with the largest possible key size defined in the algorithm's specification. BestCrypt supports XTS encryption mode that is specially designed for applications working on disk sector level and is more secure than other popular mode such as Cipher Block Chaining (CBC). XTS mode was approved by he Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for protection of information on block storage devices according (IEEE 1619 standard from 19th December, 2007). LRW encryption mode is also available with BestCrypt for Linux.

Support for Keyfiles - NEW in v.3
Users can add another level of authentication on top of standard password protection - a much beloved and missed feature of now-defunct TrueCrypt.

Enhanced Options at Creation Time - NEW in v.3
BestCrypt Container Encryption for Linux has the ability to set mount point, key files, hash algorithm, iterations count, salt and encrypt header at container creation time.

Prevent Accidental Deletion of Containers with Container Guard - NEW in v.3
Container Guard protects your containers from being accidentally deleted or moved to another location by an unauthorized user.
