Jetico Delivers Secure Windows 10 Encryption and Wiping for Anniversary Update

BCWipe and BestCrypt Drivers Now Digitally Signed by Microsoft to Wipe and Encrypt Data on Windows® 10

HELSINKI, Finland – September 21, 2016 – The latest update of Windows® 10 came with new security changes, as software drivers are now required to be digitally signed by Microsoft. By successfully passing all tests in Windows Hardware Developer Center, Jetico’s BestCrypt and BCWipe stay ahead with secure Windows® 10 encryption and wiping on version 1607, also known as the Anniversary Update.

"This achievement is just another step in our commitment to keep up with the latest technology used by our customers," proudly says Jetico CEO, Michael Waksman. "The Anniversary Update along with Windows 10’s privacy policy may cause some concerns about protecting sensitive data. Our users can continue to experience the enhanced security benefits of BestCrypt and BCWipe without compromise. Any Jetico customer with an active license can take these updates without extra cost."

Starting with Windows® 10 version 1607, the Secure Boot option will only load kernel mode drivers digitally signed by Windows Hardware Developer Center. This new requirement aims to make Windows more secure, limiting the risk of exposure to malicious driver software. To obtain the formal approval, Jetico’s drivers to wipe and encrypt data on Windows® 10 have passed through Microsoft Hardware Laboratory Kit (HLK) tests.
