3.6. I have the following problem since migrating to Vista from XP: I can access old .jbc volumes and create new ones without problems. But all of them are mounted as "Read only" and cannot even be deleted. I have admin rights on the computer.

4. Technical Problems

4.1. What happens to the file integrity if I lock up my computer or the power goes out while writing to a BestCrypt container. Will this trash the container along with all of my data?

4.2. When I try to open a container, I receive this error message: "Key generator ID is not defined". What should I do?

4.3. When I try to close opened containers at the end of the day, I receive this message: "There are currently files open on P: or Windows from that volume. If you do not close the files before disconnecting, data may be lost." But there are no applications I can discover which are using the files. Is there some utility I can use to discover what file(s) are thought to be open by BestCrypt?

4.4. After copying a container on another computer, I receive this message: "The file is not a valid BestCrypt container". How can I mount it?

4.5. I purchased a license from you and followed your instructions for registering the software. I'm still getting a warning message that says the mounted virtual drives are in read-only mode.
