1. How do I enable Transparent Wiping?
Create the task ‘Transparent Wiping' with BCWipe Task Manager.
For Windows Vista/Windows 7 - remember to run BCWipe Task Manager ‘as administrator'.

2. How do I see how Transparent Wiping works in the background?
Use log file for investigation purposes.
- In Transparent Wiping task, enable the ‘Use log file' option.
- Click the LogView button to make the special Log Viewer utility open the log file.
- Continue your usual activity:
- Open/Close applications like Word, Internet browser, email program, etc.
- Run system procedures like Disk CleanUp, Empty Recycle Bin, disable System Protection, etc.

LogViewer will show you the Transparent Wiping process in progress. You will see which process initiated the deleting, what the file name is and whether or not the wiping was successful.

3. How can I improve the performance of Transparent Wiping?
- Disable logging when you are sure that Transparent Wiping has been configured and works properly;
- Set ‘one random pass' as the wiping scheme for the Transparent Wiping task, if it conforms to your organization's security policy.
- Use Excluded and/or Included lists. For example, you could Exclude system folders or files that do not contain private data, like *.exe and *.dll. You could also Exclude processes that do not manage your private data, like Windows Update.

4. How does the ‘Pause' function work and when should I use it?
If your system is performing a large file operation that does not concern sensitive files (like Windows Update or antivirus scan) - then you could pause Transparent Wiping to speed up the process. All the files in the Transparent Wiping buffer will be promptly deleted without wiping. After the larger operation is complete, then you may resume Transparent Wiping again.

5. How can I use Transparent Wiping for wiping Internet files?
Enable the ‘Delete browsing history on exit' option in Internet Explorer or the similar command in other Internet browsers. Your browsing history and cache will be now wiped by Transparent Wiping when you close the browser.

6. How do I turn off Transparent Wiping?
Delete the task ‘Transparent Wiping' with BCWipe Task Manager.
